With the potential to unearth so much information about ourselves, DNA testing is a powerful tool that some consider overwhelmingly positive and useful, while others have been more sceptical. It has become much more accessible since genomic sequencing became cheaper and genetic testing is now deployed in a wide range of health settings. The scope of DNA and genetic testing can be an extremely complicated and difficult topic for the average person without a scientific degree to understand.
